An affinity is a feeling of shared attraction, kinship, or a similarity. Also, it can signify a person, thing, idea, etc., for which a natural liking or attraction is felt.
The couple did not argue over who controlled their television's "remote" because they had a nearly perfect affinity toward the same shows.
